Comparing AI receptionists? Start with one of these three guides.

One puts every provider's published figures in a table, one works out what a missed call is costing you, and one lists what your website joins up to. Every price in them belongs to somebody who published it, and the date it was read sits beside it.

All three are free to read, and none of them asks you for an email address first.

Three guides · Six rivals and ours in one table · Your own number in ten seconds · Every figure dated and sourced
The three

What guides are on this site?

Three, and the first one puts six rivals' published prices beside ours, with the date each figure was read.

  • The comparison table. Every figure in one table, with the VAT basis stated for each provider, and the address and date each number was read from underneath it.
  • What a missed enquiry costs. Two figures you already know and one multiplication. The working is printed on the page, so you can check it rather than take it.
  • What it connects to. Your calendar, your Google and Bing listings, your email and your card payments, with the boundary of each one written beside it.

Where to start

Which guide should you read first?

Open the table if you are weighing up several providers, and the calculator if you are not sure it is worth paying for one yet. Three situations cover nearly everybody who lands here.

You are weighing up several providers

Start with the table. It puts every published figure side by side, states the VAT basis for each provider, and names the page and the date every number came from.

You are not sure it is worth it yet

Work out your own number first. Two figures you already know are enough, and the sum takes about ten seconds on a phone.

You need it to fit what you already use

Read what it joins up to. Your calendar, your Google and Bing listings, your email and your card payments, with the boundary of each one written beside it.

What does the AI receptionist cost?

£45 a month, and 150 minutes of call time are in it. Past that it is 15p a minute, on its own line on the bill. There is no VAT to add to any of it, because we are not registered for it.

  • Seven places it answers, not one. The phone and the website chat are in the £45. Text, WhatsApp, email, Facebook Messenger and Instagram are £23 a month each.
  • Fourteen days free, and you pay us nothing in that time. The trial is on the AI receptionist rather than on a website build.
  • £199 to set it up, and we do the setting up. You read every word of it before a customer hears it, and you never have to log in to run it.
  • No minimum term. The monthly is rolling, so the work has to keep earning it.

Where do the figures in these guides come from?

Every rival figure was read off that provider's own page and saved to disk before it was written down. The address and the date sit on the comparison page, under the heading "Where does every figure come from?".

The figures about us are our own published prices, and the price page carries all of them. When a provider moves a price, the number is corrected and the date beside it changes.

Questions

What do people ask before opening one?

Our own figures are on the price page. Everybody else's are on the comparison page.

Do I have to fill anything in to read these?

No. There is no form, no email address and no sign-up in front of any of the three. The calculator asks you for nothing either. The sum is printed on the page, you do it with your own two numbers, and nothing is sent anywhere.

Which guide has the actual prices in it?

The comparison table carries every provider's published figures, and the price page carries all of ours. The table also states whether each headline price includes VAT, because a fifth on top changes which provider costs you least.

Are these written for a one-man trade or a bigger business?

For UK small businesses, trades and local services, which is who we build for. A plumber, a salon, a dental practice and a garage all get calls they cannot always answer, and the sums in these guides work the same way whatever the trade is.

Do you sell the AI receptionist on its own, without a website?

Yes, at the same £45 a month. No website, no care plan and nothing else is required. It can also sit on top of any of the four website plans, including the £99 one, and the price does not change either way.

Read one and still weighing it up?

Tell us how people reach you now and roughly how often, and you will get a straight answer about what fits. We set the whole thing up, so there is nothing for you to build and nothing to learn.
