AI receptionist · Instagram messages

AI Instagram message answering. They saw the job. Then they messaged.

“How much for something like that?” is the best enquiry you can get, because they have already seen your work and decided they like it. Carrie answers, finds out where they are and what they actually want, and hands you a job. Instead of a DM you find three days later.

Story replies count too, and those are the ones that vanish fastest.

How it works · three steps

How does Instagram message answering work?

Somebody messages your business account after seeing your work. Carrie answers, works out whether it is a real job, and it lands on your list.

01

The photograph does the selling

They have seen a finished job of yours and they want that. It is the warmest enquiry there is, and it arrives as three words in a DM at half ten at night.

02

Carrie turns it into something you can price

Where are they, what is the space, when are they thinking. All the things a message saying “how much?” leaves out, asked while they are still interested.

03

You get a job, not a notification

On the same list as everything else, with what they were looking at when they messaged. Nothing sits in a requests folder you never open.

One post, and four words back

What it looks like

You post a finished job on a Friday afternoon because it came out well. At twenty past ten that night somebody two villages away sees it and sends four words: “How much for that?” Normally that sits in your messages until Monday and by then the moment has gone.

Instead she gets an answer that night, is asked where she is and how big the space is, and sends a photograph of her own back. Monday morning you have a job with a picture, an address and a number on it, off a post that cost you nothing.

Questions

What people ask about Instagram answering

Fifteen, and they are about the awkward bits of Instagram: story replies, message requests, and the enquiry that is three words long.

What exactly is AI Instagram message answering?

Somebody answering the direct messages your business account gets, at any hour, and turning the real ones into jobs. Carrie replies as your business, asks the things a short message leaves out, and passes you the lead.

How does it compare to answering DMs myself?

The problem with Instagram is not that you cannot answer, it is when. These arrive in the evening, and by the time you sit down with the phone properly it is two days later and the conversation is dead.

Are Instagram enquiries actually worth anything?

They are the warmest ones you get, because the person has seen your work first. What makes them look worthless is that they arrive vague and unanswered, so they never turn into anything.

Answered properly, a three word DM becomes an address, a job and a date.

Which trades and local services is it for?

The visual ones, first: landscapers and gardeners, decorators, bathroom and kitchen fitters, builders, driveways, and anybody whose finished work photographs well.

Then salons, barbers, beauty, tattooists, dog groomers and anybody whose customers choose by looking.

Is this my personal Instagram?

No. It is your business account only. Anything personal is separate and nobody at our end sees it.

What about story replies?

They are answered like any other message, and they matter more than they look, because a story reply is somebody reacting to a job in the moment. Those are also the easiest ones in the world to miss, because they disappear.

What about the message requests folder?

Anybody who does not follow you lands in requests, which is the folder nobody opens. That is exactly where new customers arrive, so it gets answered rather than ignored.

Who gives the price?

You do, and on this channel that matters more than on any other, because “how much for that?” is the message. She explains that it depends on the space, and gets you what you need to price it properly.

So the number goes out once you know the room, which is what keeps a week's work from being done for nothing.

Can I take over the conversation?

Yes, any time. Open Instagram and reply and she stops. It is your account.

Does it post anything?

Posting is a separate service, and a person does it. This one answers your messages, and your Google and Bing pages are done by hand.

Who does she message?

People who messaged you, and that is the part that is straightforwardly allowed. Your own account, your following and your posting all stay yours.

What if somebody is just being nice about the job?

She says thank you and leaves it there. A compliment is not a lead and you should not get a list of them to wade through.

What about the ones selling you followers?

Ignored, and they never reach your list. Business accounts get a lot of them.

What does it cost to run?

The setup and the monthly are on the price list. There is no per-message charge to pass on for Instagram.

Is my data safe and is it GDPR compliant?

The conversations and the details people give are yours. They sit in your own database on your own project, never pooled with anybody else's, never sold, and never used to sell anything. If you leave, you take them and we delete our copy.

Everything is encrypted on the way and at rest, and what is collected and why is set out in the privacy notice.

Your work is pictures. What is there for an assistant to read?

Words, and only words. A grid of finished work is the strongest thing you own and none of it can be read by the thing deciding who to name. What gets matched is the plain text saying what the job was, where it was and roughly what it came to.

  • Every service you genuinely do goes on the page as text, not only as a caption sitting on top of an image.
  • Alt text is read, and it is the one place a photograph speaks. Ours fails its own build check if a picture ships without it.
  • A gallery with a real sentence under each job beats any number of posts that nothing outside the app can open.

The next step · twenty minutes

How many DMs never got a reply?

Open your requests folder. Everything in there saw your work and liked it enough to get in touch.

Twenty minutes with Chad. Nothing to pay and nothing to sign. The whole receptionist, and all seven channels, are on the AI receptionist page.
